2017 I took a drawing class with Clintel Steed at the New York Studio School. I would come to this class every Thursday for 7 weeks after my workday in a metal fabrication shop. As the workshops progressed Clintel challenged me to make drawings on full 6 foot by 7 foot sheets of paper, I’d use an entire roll of arches paper; cut it in half, and staple the two parts alongside each other.
